Cycling Bangkok to Saigon 14 days

Shuttle from Saigon to TanAn where we fit our bikes and start our exploration of the second biggest dragon fruits in Vietnam. The highlights of the biking routes are friendly farmers shooting “hello” to you, through a village known for “hu tieu” (vermicelli) in My Tho and the splendid Vinh Trang pagoda. On arrival the dock, take a private boat to the Mekong Riverside restaurant for lunch. Then, hop on a horse-cart to the Hương Dừa workshop in which you will learn more about how locals make the best use of coconut into a variety of products. Afterwards, we ride under a shady path to BaLai and onto BenTre city (if time permits). Overnight in Tra Vinh Khmer Town.

Tra Vinh is small town and it is not touristy destination for tourists traveling by bus. So it is really quiet at night. After 8:30 pm everything is seem to be closed and almost sleep. Tra Vinh province is considered the homeland to Khmer and there are numerous Khmer temples in the province. A full day cycling of today is a chance you are not only learning cultures but also cycling on deeply to traditional villages of Khmer, stop and visit some thatch houses, experience the ways of living and visit some colorful temples on our way cycling to through Tieu Can to Cau Ke. After we have lunch in town, a fantastic bicycling begins after just half an hour transfer by van/bus to Vinh Xuan. We continue explore beautiful countryside villages by cycling along canals, rivers fruit orchards and through rice paddy fields. We end up cycle and get on van/bus to Can Tho to check in hotel.

In the early morning, you cruse downstream of Can Tho River for Floating Market, you will see the typical highlight of the Legend of Mekong River. The first sight today is busy floating market in Can Tho and pedal to the second sight is an ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le. Who was in loved with Marguerite Duras then the story became a movie. After we watched floating market of Cai Rang, a short driving taking us to Can Tho bridge to start biking. From Binh Minh to Sadec town, we bike on country back roads, through sweet potatoes, family work shop making rice powder, brick factories and pedaling along canals busy with many boats which come to pick the flowers in the hundred gardens over here. Our delicious lunch is serves at L'amant House and we have a rest before we ride to Cao Lanh city. We pedal through more village of flower in countryside of Sadec and many small village through mango orchards, rivers. Overnight in Huong Sen Hotel.

Get ready for exploring beautiful countryside in Typical Mekong Highlight by bicycle through world of the mango orchards in small villages and pass local market, smooth concrete track along Mekong Riverside before a local ferry boat taking you to Binh Phuoc Xuan Island. Spending your pleasure time to pedal to and stop at Monastery, which was built 120 years ago by the French. This is the first Monastery building site in Indochina (built in 1874). Spending 30 minutes to walk around admire the colonial building style in the Church Yard. Taste any sweet mango & have a lunch in My Luong, we then start pedaling to Cho Moi, experience local life along country back roads; see duck raising on rice paddy fields, fish farming by rivers and rice harvesting. Passing Muslim villages, stilt house and vegetable paddy fields. Take a short transfer to Chau Doc for overnight.

In the morning biking stage, you can feel a big difference between 2 neighbouring countries, we ride 40km upstream the Mekong River to Long Binh Town and ready to leave Vietnam for checking in Chrey Thom in Cambodia. Another fleet of bikes and new driver await you after customs.

Afternoon, cycle to visit Angkor Borei to get to know this amazing Therevada Buddhism country with your first impression. Continue through the distant villages with typical stilt-houses, vegetable farms, monks around their charming pagodas. Stay in Capital of Phnom Penh.

Following your breakfast at hotel, you will have a long transfer to villages of Kampong Thom for a before noon riding. After lunch, we get on vehicle go ahead to Siem Reap and arrive there in late afternoon.

In the morning, we take you back to the Angkor complex area for cycling to Bantay Srey was built by female artists – a remote temple is belonged to Angkor Grand. Biking 35km pass the jungle and villages will be stared into your face. You might see how people make sugar and local wine from “tnoat” – a kind of Khmer sugar palm tree. Cycling trip from Saigon to Angkor Wat 10 days will end with the lunch at the long house of “Bong Thom” in the middle of the organic rice farm and return to the hotel’s swimming pool or exlore the local market. A farewell dinner will be hosted at one of the finest local restaurant in Siem Riep.

Enjoy the breakfast in the hotel, you then fill the water with briefing the biking road's from Battambang to Pailin details and pedal to be warmed up about 20km with any short stop for sight-seeing at the hilltop pagoda and cave, you then ready for the bigger challenge of Cadarmon Mountain Rage with the great panorama of rice fields, corn, any handicraft houses and the cute kids rise their hands to shoot hello to you the whole way to Pailin for overnight.

Following your morning breakfast is ready to cross the Cambodia - Thailand International Border for Chanthaburi Destination with a short biking loop under the lush canopy to enjoy the first impressive Thailand.

Afterward, you then transfer out of Chanthaburi to north-west for your main day biking loop of 50km and having a stopover at the Mangrove Forest Center which will be a well organise Thailand Tourism so far. You will be picked for a short drive to Rayong for dinner & overnight.
